Aboriginal Cultural Tours – Easter 2018

From Saturday the 31st of March until Friday the 6th of April, Tasmanian Aboriginal people are hosting Aboriginal Cultural Tours on Maria Island.

They include a Welcome to Country ceremony and a cultural tour that explores the unique relationship that the Aboriginal people (the tyreddeme people) had with wukaluwikiwayna (Maria Island). This is a rare opportunity to learn about the lives of the original inhabitants of Maria island.

There will be two tours a day (10am and 1pm), of about 1.5 hours duration. They start at Darlington Bay (adjacent to where the ferry docks) and conclude in the township of Darlington.

As an introductory offer, prices are $40 per person and children up to 14 are free.

Tours can be booked on this website as part of the ferry ticket purchase process.

Tickets are limited. Don’t miss out!
